In addition to our work with children and families, we provide individual, family, and couples counseling to adults. We provide a strength-based, solution-focused approach to help alleviate unwanted symptoms and utilize a variety of modalities including solution-focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to increase positive change. In addition to our friendly and down-to-earth approach, we only employ therapists who are licensed to practice therapy in the State of Connecticut.
The LMSW Clinical Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our counseling practice. They will oversee the supervision and development of provisionally licensed clinicians, contribute to maintaining ethical and professional standards, and actively participate in the ongoing success of the agency's mental health programs.Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct client care, including individual, couples/family/group therapy, to approximately 10-15 clients weekly.
  • Supervise 10-12 provisionally licensed clinicians, ensuring their professional growth and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct bi-annual reviews of provisionally licensed clinicians to assess progress and identify areas for development.
  • Run monthly consultation meetings to facilitate collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and skill development among the clinical team.
  • Attend and actively contribute to monthly staff meetings, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Meet with the Clinical Director weekly for supervision, discussing caseload management, professional development, and addressing any challenges.
  • Provide weekly supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians, reviewing and approving all documentation.
  • Sign off on supervision hours and work hours, facilitating the licensure process for LMSWs preparing for the LCSW exam.
  • Orient new clinicians regarding supervision expectations upon hire.
  • Ensure prompt completion of intake and termination processes, maintaining accurate records and case files.
  • Make recommendations, as requested, to social services or community agencies regarding the continued treatment of clients, children's placement, and issues related to mental health or substance use.
  • Maintain independence, organization, and meticulous supervision records, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be available on-call for clinicians under supervision.
  • Utilize electronic medical records effectively.
  • Attend weekly manager meetings, and monthly staff meetings, and co-facilitate monthly LMSW case presentation meetings.
  • Manage a smaller caseload of clients, typically between 10-15.
Qualifications:
  • LCSW is licensed in the state of CT.
  • Must be licensed to practice in CT and a resident of CT or one of the following states, NY, NJ, MA, or NC.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a clinical setting, overseeing interns, clinicians, etc.
  • At least 10 years of full-time experience in outpatient mental health counseling, preferably with mental health and substance use clients.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5.
  • On-call availability for clinical staff.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in a mental health field with clinical training.
  • Completion of an accredited Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy program.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience managing clinical and administrative staff.
  • License and/or Certification: A license in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
License and Certification:
  •  LCSW License
Special Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel between Stokes health centers or for large events a few times a year.
  • Willingness to work evening hours and weekends if necessary.
Salary:
  • $75,000 - $80,000/Annually 
Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday (8:30-4:30 or 9:00-5:00)
